✔️ About us

We decided to return to farming after engaging in environmental activism in Seoul and developing concerns about capitalism. Currently, we manage a self-sufficient garden of 100 square meters and a persimmon field of 700 square meters. In the garden, we grow over 50 varieties of indigenous crops such as potatoes, radishes, cabbage, sweet potatoes, and lettuce using native seeds. We make a point of saving seeds for the next year. In the persimmon field, we raise chickens and experiment with the celebratory circulation farming method. The chickens eat grass and insects, and their droppings become fertilizer, creating a cyclical process. Even if is not perfect, we try to be as self-sufficient as possible in producing our food.

Rather than planting a large quantity of a single crop, we cultivate a diverse range of crops, creating a beautiful garden with flowers. In one corner of the field, our chickens roam freely—species like Sook, Bang, Cham, Odong, and Boksung. These chickens are not only our precious family members but also friends. We enjoy preparing delicious meals using the vegetables we grow ourselves. Our hobbies include writing, singing, watching movies, and traveling. One of the hosts is managing a small publishing company and the other wants to be a wonderful writer.

✔️ Farming Experience since 2021

✔️ Farm Type small farm

✔️ Main Crop Multi-variety Small-scale Production, Vegetables, Grains, Herbs, etc., Fruits (Persimmons)

✔️ Farming Method

We don’t use any chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides at all. We use grass and straw for mulching, and our house has an ecological toilet where we produce compost directly. We separate feces and urine to create compost, and we also turn kitchen waste into compost, practicing a circular farming system where what we receive from the land goes back to the land. The water used in our home flows into a small pond in the field. Through the purifying action of aquatic plants in the pond, we supply water to the field.

✔️ Organic Lifestyle

minimize waste and follow a vegan lifestyle. I use eco-friendly soap, toothpaste, and detergent. I try to source my food from the garden as much as possible and prioritize local, seasonal ingredients. While I do use a car, I make an effort to use bicycles and public transportation as much as possible.
