WWOOF Korea understands that your privacy is important to you and that you care about how your information is used and shared online.
We respect and value the privacy of everyone who visits Our Site and will only collect and use information in ways that are useful to you and in a manner consistent with your rights and Our obligations under the law.

This Policy applies to Our use of any and all data collected by us in relation to your use of Our Site. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and ensure that you understand it. You will be required to read and accept this Privacy Policy when signing up for an Account.

    1. Our Site, https://wwoofkorea.org/, is owned and operated by WWOOF KOREA, an organisation registered in Republic of Korea since 1997,
      under the registration number of 101-81-20509. Our registered address is 52-11, Gyedong-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

  2. Scope – What Does This Policy Cover?

    This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of Our Site. It does not extend to any websites that are linked to from Our Site (whether We provide those links or whether they are shared by other users). We have no control over how
    your data is collected, stored or used by other websites and We advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before providing any data to them.

    Data will only be collected if you voluntarily submit it and consent to Us using
    it for the purposes set out in section 5, for example, when signing up for an
    Account. Depending upon your use of Our Site, We may collect some or all of the following data:

  5. How and Where Do We Store Your Data?
    1. We only keep your data for as long as We need to in order to use it asdescribed above in section 4, and/or for as long as We have yourpermission to keep it. In any event, We will conduct an annual reviewto ascertain whether we need to keep your data. Your data will bedeleted if we no longer need it.

      • Password StorageAll passwords are stored in a encrypted hashed format andleverage Drupal’s excellent security around user management.
      • Access Control ListsEffective use of Access Control Lists in Amazon Web Servicesto restrict who can access our servers via ssh and sftp.
      • Anonymized User Data
      • User data is anonymized when databases are downloaded to beused in local environments.
      • In addition user data sent to external services like Recaptchaand Google Analytics is anonymized so that no personal data(like IP addresses) are shared.
  6. Do We Share Your Data?
    1. We may share your data with other WWOOF Organisations withinFoWO or related projects (Federation of WWOOF Organisations).
    2. We may compile statistics about the use of Our Site including data ontraffic, usage patterns, user numbers, and other information. All suchdata will be anonymised and will not include any personally identifyinginformation. Data will only be shared and used within the bounds of the law.
    3. In certain circumstances We may be legally required to share certaindata held by Us, which may include your personal information, forexample, where We are involved in legal proceedings, where We arecomplying with the requirements of legislation, a court order, or agovernmental authority. We do not require any further consent fromyou in order to share your data in such circumstances and will complyas required with any legally binding request that is made of Us.
  7. What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?

    In the rare event that any of your data is to be transferred in such a manner,you will be contacted in advance and informed of the changes. Whencontacted you will be given the choice to have your data deleted or withheldfrom the new owner or controller.

    When you submit information via Our Site, you may be given options torestrict Our use of your data. We aim to give you strong controls on Our useof your data (including the ability to opt-out of receiving emails from Us,which may limit Our ability to provide the best possible services to you)

  12. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
    1. In the event that We use personal data for the purposes of automateddecision-making and those decisions have a legal (or similarlysignificant effect) on You, You have the right to challenge to suchdecisions under GDPR, requesting human intervention, expressing theirown point of view, and obtaining an explanation of the decision from Us.

      • The decision is authorised by law; or
      • You have given your explicit consent.

      • Clear information explaining the profiling will be provided,including its significance and the likely consequences
      • Appropriate mathematical or statistical procedures will be used;
