Our farm is operated by the families of the Shalom Community, aiming for an eco-naturalist approach. We produce rice, free-range eggs, lettuce, sweet potatoes, peppers, and butternut squash.
The host is a professor emeritus who retired this year after about 30 years as a professor of social welfare at a university, with a background in theology (M.Div) and social welfare (MSW, Ph.D). He was ordained as a minister by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1987 and has been the representative of the Shalom Community, which started about 10 years ago.
